There is a road which doesn’t go anywhere,
but some people find it comfortable to be traveling on.
You can find this long lonely road to nowhere,
still only you can decide if it is truly where you belong.
It is easy for those who choose this way of life,
to explain some of the bad things away which they do.
People who go this route have a selfish attitude,
never concerned of what others may be going through.
Knowingly casting other people in a bad light,
and the wrong done on their part dismissed or denied.
It never excuses the actions of doing wrong,
because bringing hurt to another cannot be justified.
Those times when you notice your reflection,
are you comfortable with the image which you show.
If not you need to understand your mistakes,
and have full respect for this person whom you know.
So many roads through time to travel down,
and life lessons which we all need to know and learn.
But if you stumble onto the road to nowhere,
respecting others should always be your only concern.
It's not always easy to admit our mistakes,
or try to rectify and apologize for what we have done.
The road to hell is not paved with good intent,
and only you can decide if the devil has finally won.
I only have knowledge of events in my life,
I don’t have the answers for what anyone should do.
If you want to sleep with a clear conscious,
the final road you choose will have to stay with you.
